Quilt Room Organization comes back on 09/02

Once again, the Quilting on a Budget Yahoo group will be decluttering and reorganizing our quilting rooms and sewing areas. Beginning September 2, I will be posting here on this blog, weekly "tips, tricks and tasks" on getting your quilt room back in shape.

For many of us in the group, summer was a hectic time when our quilt rooms got used for little more than storage. Now that cooler weather is in sight, thoughts of Christmas presents and winter weather quilts are re-surfacing, and before we get back to what we love - quilting - we need to make sure the environment we are going to work in is organized and allows productivity.

One thing to keep in mind -- you can't clean or organize clutter! So if your quilt room has turned into the family's dumping ground over the summer, why not join the August DeClutter Challenge at My Simpler Life blog now, and get some of that clutter out of your room between now and September 2! The rules are easy -- remove ONE ITEM of clutter from your house each day, then post on Friday about the items you removed. There are even prizes given!

So if your quilt room needs some spiffing up and you need a little motivation to get you going, subscribe to this blog and c'mon back on September 2. I'll be looking for you!
