From the Sewing Machine Companies -- Projects for the Quilt Room

From Husqvarna comes this free pattern for organizing your pressure feet. Imagine sewing and having every foot right on hand when you need it!

At the same time, why not protect your investment and make a matching sewing machine cover with this free pattern, also from Husqvarna. Your quilt room will be stylin’!

1406_lowRes_20From the Janome company comes this great pattern called a Pocket Pal. Keep your sewing machine area organized and tidy by having a place for extra bobbins, thread snips and more. There’s even a pincushion on the side! Great for taking to class.

3.84_Meadow_Mug_Coasters_1 Do you drink coffee, tea or other beverages while quilting? Of course you do! Don’t ruin your sewing table or work desk with water rings – make these sweet Mug Mat Coasters from a free pattern from Janome. And why not make a few extras to have handy as a Secret Sister gift or swap item?

THUMB_1096_Accessory_Organizer_lg The Singer company intended this free pattern to be used for accessories in the bedroom or dressing room, but it would be a perfect accessory in the Quilt Room as well! Use it to hold thread, needles, buttons, embellishments and more.

memolarge3 Do you write notes or To Do Lists while you’re in your sewing room? Get out your cutest fabric and create one of these memo pad holders from the Brother Sewing Machine Company. How about using a photo transfer and put your favorite photos on the front of the pocket for inspiration? Get the free pattern here. Another good Secret Sister gift, so make extra.

LITTLE folder Printing quilt patterns from the Internet can get a bit overwhelming, unless you can keep them organized. Keep print-outs organized and your quilting room pretty with these beautiful file folders. Bernina’s blog offers this free pattern (pdf file). Let’s see, you’ll need one folder for Baby Quilts, one for BOMs, one for….

That’s all for today! If you know of any great Quilt or Sewing Room accessory patterns on the Web, please click on the email sign below and let me know!

For me I use the clean "bags" gallon to larger ones Living in the desert in the SouthWest we get dust all over and well this keeps things clean and clear bags I see what is in them

I've more shelves in my work area to keep things in order some small plastic bins some bags and well then the UFO's I can use some more of the 2 gallon size now I'll add to my next shopping list
